Truckee Literary Crawl

In 2014, Marianne Porter earned an MFA in Creative Writing, University of Nevada, Lake Tahoe (formerly Sierra Nevada University). She is working on her bildungsroman travel memoir titled ADRIFT ACROSS EUROPE, 1973-’74. Pure Slush Book’s Lifespan anthology accepted her poem on loss titled "Cry of the Soul," in January 2024. Her creative nonfiction essay RED, appeared in Entropy's Woven online series in August 2021. Marianne has attended Writing X Writer’s workshops, is an occasional freelance writer for Moonshine Ink, a monthly Truckee/Tahoe news publication, and is a two-year alumna of the Community of Writers, 2015 and 2016.
