Truckee Literary Crawl

Jillian Makoutz, author of Four Seasons in the Sierra, lives in Sierraville with her husband, three children, two cats and lots of chickens. Jillian loves writing poetry while in nature, but her love for language has taken her many places, including teaching English overseas in Croatia as well as more local poetry adventures such as presenting at Truckee Literary Crawl, Nevada Humanities Literary Crawl and the Tahoe Literary Festival. She has also been a criteria judge for Sierra County’s Poetry Out Loud since 2024, and is currently working on a second book of poetry.
