About me
Linda González (she/ella) is the author of four non-fiction books and has published many essays. Her most recent essay collection is Rest Like a Giant Tree: Be Happy in the Midst of So Much. She has served as a judge for the Latino Books awards, and is a contributing editor for aaduna, an online literary magazine. Linda believes in the “danger of a single story” about any group of people. She works tirelessly to write and support writing that enriches the current canon of literature, challenging the narrative that she cannot include Spanish in her work without explaining or italicizing it. She works with BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) writers to claim their voice with a sanctuary program that includes coaching, writing sessions, developmental editing, and craft workshops. She currently lives in Pt. Richmond, the unceded land of the Ohlone nation.
